Certified Phlebotomy Technician Program WEEKEND PROGRAM CLASS SCHEDULE: - Saturdays and Sundays only, 9am to 5pm, for 5 days (in-class) - 2 1/2 week class time Weekend Program Booking Date: The date that you select for "Book Now" will be the 1st of 5 consecutive Saturdays and Sundays, 9am to 5pm each day (3 Saturdays and 2 Sundays). Total Class Time: 5 days in class program, 40 hours Total Externship Time: Scheduled separately after completing classroom time, 40 hours Total Certified Phlebotomy Program Time: 80 hours Fast-Paced! Straightforward! Affordable! Blue Haven Career College’s Phlebotomy Program is a course designed to meet all California Department of Public Health (CDPH) standards for phlebotomy certification. Requirements: - No medical or prior healthcare experience is needed - Must be 18 years or older - Have a valid high school diploma, GED or equivalent - Must be proficient in English This 80-hour program includes 40 hours (5 days) of classroom instruction covering anatomy, safety protocols, and venipuncture techniques, followed by a 40 hour externship of hands-on clinical training. Students earn 36 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and gain the knowledge and practical skills required to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1) in California. Upon successful completion, graduates will be fully prepared to sit for the national certification exam (NHA) and begin their careers as licensed phlebotomists (CPT-I).
